Photography guidelines

Every photographer's dream

We are delighted that you are inspired by the unique atmosphere of our hotel and the historic ambience in and around the Schlosshotel Kronberg. Our guests appreciate exactly that: the unique character of our hotel, the tranquility of the castle grounds, the charm of the entire complex, and, last but not least, the privacy that we protect with great care here.

To ensure that all guests can enjoy their stay equally, we ask for your understanding regarding our policy on photography and filming.

Private photography – of course!

Snapshots as a souvenir of your stay are of course permitted.

This includes:

What counts as a photo shoot?

As soon as one or more of the following characteristics apply, it is considered a photo shoot, even if no commercial use is intended:

Wedding and event photography

If you are hosting your wedding, private celebration, or business event at the Schlosshotel Kronberg, we look forward to working with you to make this special day a memorable one. The conditions for photography and video recording during your event will be agreed upon individually with your personal contact person from our events department and set out in the event contract. Please ensure that the photographer is known to our staff and can be identified as belonging to the event.

Please understand that wedding, engagement, or bridal shoots, corporate shoots, and portrait and family shoots are reserved exclusively for companies holding their celebration or event at our hotel. All types of fashion, product, or advertising shoots, especially those intended for commercial use, are strictly prohibited.

This rule serves to protect the privacy of all guests and our historic property.

To which areas do these regulations apply?

In order to protect the privacy of all guests, photo shoots are not permitted on the entire premises without express special permission. This applies to, among other things:

Smaller shoots or “discreet” sets are not exempt from this rule. Thank you for your understanding.

Drone ban

Please note that the use of drones is strictly prohibited throughout the entire premises, including all outdoor areas, for safety and data protection reasons.

Shootings requiring approval

In individual cases and after careful consideration, photo shoots may be permitted in certain areas and for certain purposes.

In any case, written permission from the management or the Director of Marketing is required.

We will be happy to review the possibilities and conditions upon written request. Please include the following information in your request:

Please send your request to marketing@pvh.de. Please note that the request must be received at least 14 days before the desired date.

For shoots that are not related to an event at the Schlosshotel Kronberg, an individual fee will be charged. The base price for a permit starts at €500 and depends on the scope, duration, and area of the desired use.

We reserve the right to reject requests without giving reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Why this policy?

Our goal is to offer all guests an atmosphere of relaxation, respect, and seclusion. Photo shoots – as aesthetic and loving as they may be – can disrupt this experience. By establishing clear rules, we ensure that our Schlosshotel Kronberg remains a place where privacy, style, and tranquility come first.

Thank you for your consideration and understanding. We look forward to your visit!
