Grotto of the Empress

An idyllic place within the extensive grounds of the Schlosshotel Kronberg is surely the grotto of the empress. This could become the ideal location for any spring or summer event.

The grotto, which is situated in the park just below the castle, is suitable for a romantic dinner for two as well as a company summer barbecue or private event of any kind. The natural surroundings, the rock and the large cedar tree above the entrance to the grotto offer a private setting in a relaxed atmosphere for team building activities and wedding ceremonies with a sweeping view to the park and golf course.

The waterfall behind the grotto flows directly into the pond which creates a perfect backdrop for receptions for up to 100 guests. And should your event require seating we are able to accommodate up to 80 guests within this area. Upon request, we can integrate a mobile cocktail bar along with the fitting light effects, candles or torches.
